Don't use the platform to facilitate harm, malicious code, or illegal activity.

Be Honest

Be Respectful

Respect intellectual property, other creators, and our shared community.

These Community Guidelines exist to help maintain a useful, respectful, and high-quality environment. They apply to all content and behavior on Promptly.

These guidelines supplement our binding Terms of Service.

1. What We Encourage

We welcome creative, educational, and practical resources that help people make the most of Artificial Intelligence. We encourage you to share:

  • Original Prompts: Unique prompts that generate great text, code, or images.
  • Helpful Explanations: Clear descriptions of how your prompt works and which variables to change.
  • Creative Workflows: Innovative ways to combine prompts or utilize specific AI models for productivity, marketing, or design.

2. Prompt Quality & Honesty

Because Promptly is centered around discovery, accuracy is essential. High-quality prompts should be easy to understand and accurately described.

Do not:

  • Use misleading or clickbait titles (e.g., claiming a prompt will "guarantee you $10,000").
  • Stuff irrelevant tags or keywords into your descriptions to manipulate search rankings.
  • Falsely claim your prompt is "Official" or endorsed by an AI provider (like OpenAI or Midjourney) unless you have authorization to do so.

3. Respect Intellectual Property

You must not knowingly publish content that infringes on another person's rights. This includes directly copying another creator's extensive prompt frameworks or publishing premium/paid resources without permission.

If you believe your content has been stolen or infringed upon, please refer to our Copyright Policy for reporting instructions.

4. Privacy & Public Content

Prompts and collections published on Promptly are generally visible to the public. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you upload does not contain:

  • Passwords, API keys, or private access tokens.
  • Confidential business documents or trade secrets.
  • Sensitive personal information about yourself or others (e.g., phone numbers, private addresses, or financial data).

For information on how we handle your data, read our Privacy Policy.

5. Safety & Prohibited Content

To maintain a safe environment, we strictly prohibit the use of our platform to publish or share prompts that facilitate:

  • Illegal Activities: Prompts designed to facilitate fraud, scams, identity theft, or physical harm.
  • Malicious Code: Prompts intended to generate malware, ransomware, credential stealers, or to bypass system security without authorization. (Legitimate, labeled cybersecurity education is permitted).
  • Harassment & Hate Speech: Content that bullies, threatens, or promotes hostility against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
  • Explicit Content: Highly graphic or explicit sexual content, and absolutely no content involving or attempting to sexualize minors.

6. Spam & Platform Manipulation

We rely on accurate metrics (like views, saves, and copies) to recommend the best content to our users. You must not attempt to artificially manipulate discovery systems.

Prohibited manipulation includes:

  • Creating fake accounts or using automated bots to inflate likes, saves, or views.
  • Publishing mass duplicate prompts or engaging in repetitive submissions.
  • Automated scraping or bulk downloading that bypasses platform rate limits or access controls.

7. Reporting & Enforcement

Moderation

We may use a combination of automated systems, user reports, and manual review to moderate content on the platform. While we encourage creative freedom, we reserve the right to remove or restrict content that violates these guidelines.

Enforcement Actions

Depending on the severity and intent of a violation, we may take actions including, but not limited to:

  • Removing or hiding the violating content.
  • Issuing a warning.
  • Restricting your ability to interact with the platform.
  • Temporarily or permanently suspending your account.
